Just wondering what others have seen for a high credit line with Captital One. I looked though my credit reports to see what my old accounts were at (they were included in my '09 BK). One had a CL of $6800. and the other was $7700. My highest card during that period during that period was $82k (Chase) so I don't think I can expect a high CL with them. Both of my accounts currently have a CL of $4500. One is up for an increase so I have a call into the EO to see if I can get an increase. Trying for $6k.
I have seen a couple of posters on this forum that have somewhere over $20k with Cap1
I have $5,750 so 6k is definetly achievable.
I recently applied for a Cap1 Venture card and was approved for $30k. I was pretty floored, never thought that would happen. Was approved for a Quicksilver 3 months earlier and only received a $3k line after a 7-10 day message. Thick file with one derog back in '09. Low Util. scores between 690-720.
30k is amazing for your CR and scores, what is your income i wonder or cap1 gone crazy?
Income is low six figures. I recently started a banking relationship with them which may have played a role.
It looks like healthy credit limits are possilbe. I have two cards with them. Both went from $2500. to $4500. by using the Luv Button on their site ealier this year. Before that my increases were from calling the EO. I tried getting an increase online a few nights ago and received a message that said that I'd get an answer in a few days. The letter in my file Monday said that the increase was declined for the following reason -
CapitalOne Credit Card Letters
Based on your credit lines with Capital One, your credit score isn't high enough for an increase. See the back of this letter for more details.
The only thing noted was that my score is 699 (EQ 04). I was surprised that it was declined with that score so I called to have the account reviewed. I should hear something in a few days. Both of their cards that I have are PIF before the statement closes. I run anywhere from $800. - $3000+ though them each month.
the highest I have seen is $30K also but there may be some higher.
Mine is a tiny bit higher, $33K
I received a call today. My $6k credit line was approved. I was thinking that I was getting close to the limit that I will have with them but it looks like I still have plenty of road ahead of me.
I have $30k on my QuickSilver Siggy Visa.
