Re: Capital One raised my limit to $2000!

I just logged into my account just now and got a nice surprise as well. They raised mine from $650 to $2500. I wasn't expecting that, as I've been at 650 for at least 2-3 years now. They were my first credit card and I've been diligently working to pay it off because it's not a rewards card, so I felt like I was just giving money away. I'm still planning on paying it off, as I've basically stopped using it, but it's nice to get "rewarded".

Re: Capital One raised my limit to $2000!

I got my cap one around April just after I bought my house.  I was in credit steps and went from $500 to $750.  I called in September asking if there were additionals steps.  I was told no that I would stay at $750 ($39 AF).   I just logged on this am and it was CLI to $2250!   Yeah!!!   My highest limit ever.   Maybe because I charged it to $700 last month and PIF?

Don't know, Dont care.. just nice to see.

Re: Capital One raised my limit to $2000!

I didn't even have credit steps, as my account with them was started in 04. I was stuck at 400, for several years, then it went to 650. And just last week I got the most recent CLI. Be glad you were able to have credit steps. I would have preferred that to being stuck at such low numbers for 3-4 years.

You have more patience than me. That card would have been cut up if it was mines.

Re: Capital One raised my limit to $2000!

I did scratch the back of the card and that's part of how I was able to pay it down so well. I get zero rewards for it. I actually called and asked if I could have it changed to a rewards card and was told no.
