I just called them and asked if I could pc either of my current cards and was told no. I was told they are at there max and his advice since my credit is great now to apply for a better card. I thought you could only have 2 cards and he said no, there is no limit.
Is this correct? No way am I taking 3 hp for capital one
You can only have two. I tryed to apply for a new account and they said you can only have two.

They won't even give me the 2nd
I have two cap1 cards and it's two too many lol.
Another post that shows the Capital One customer service reps dont have a clue what is going on. Or they like to say whatever they like.
I agree with the OP. Since your scores are better, I won't take 3 HPs for another Capital One card. Go venture elsewhere!!!
Does a Capital 1 sony card count towards the cap?
I think their policy is you can have as many Capital One products as you want, however it varies by product and things like that.
For example you can have a CAP1 NHRC or Green Cash that they have not, but you can't have another one of those...you can have a CAP1 platinum card on top of that one and that is the limit.
You can have a sony CapOne on top of those 2 and Kohl's Capone card as well. When BBRZ card comes aboard to capone you can have that too making 5 cards.
It cannot be within the same family, but you can have a lot more than 2 from CAPONE
I just called the backdoor number at CapOne regarding my account and during the conversation I asked the account specialist if there was a limit to the amount of cards you can have with CapOne, and she told me that she has worked there for 8 years and never heard about any limits on the amount of cards you can have. She just helped an account holder with his account and he had 5 CapOne cards, so I definitely agree with MarcinXP having just spoke with an accounts specialist (not just a basic CSR) I believe it depends on the card type as explained in the above thread.
Until I canceled one a few weeks ago, I had 3 Cap 1 accounts.
They only allow 2 Cap Ones, not including the co-branded cards. Their CS reps are notorious for giving erroneous information. If you have 2 psnl cards with them and app for a 3rd, they will reportedly deny your app and not do any HP.
