Doesn't the PayPal Extras MC give 3X points (3%) on gas and restaraunts?

Sorry, but no.

The points aren't worth a cent. They are worth about 0.83333 cent. So that 3X points becomes only 2.5% cash back.

Yeah ok, but that's still better than many of the 2% cards being listed and no one had mentioned it.

Yup, if you're talking 2%, you might as well get a Fidelity Amex and be done with it.

I don't suppose anyone mentioned the Santander Bravo card (I like the design) or the Huntington Voice card. Just a couple of 3% restaurant options.

yes but amex is not accepted everywhere. a lot of mom and pop places will not take amex cards. I dont think i would ever get a santander card Ive heard bad things about them. The huntington voice sounds like a very interesting card dont you have to live near a branch?

If i was looking for just an restaurant card , i still would go with cash+ 5% is nice imo.

yeah its annoying that they do that, but i really don't see any other 5% categoires that would i want to get instead. Right now using freedoms 5% then will use my CSP for rest of the times for restaurants.

AFAIK, you either have to be in Huntington's footprint or already have an account with them.  Otherwise, it'd be on my list.  Santander Bravo would probably be worth the AF with my restaurant spend.  Hmmm.

For the santander card to be worth it for the AF you would have to spend 5k a year in restaurants just to break even over a card that gives you 2% back like chase amazon. The card is pretty much usless otherwise if you have a sallie mae card for gas and supermarket.
