Citi
For me it was Discover. I tried on 8/29/2010 and 5/04/2011, but looking back in 2010 I had no revolving credit and on the 2011 appIication, I only had a fingerhut account reporting that was barely 6 months old. have not tried this year.
Capital One Cash No AF version for me.
My credit history:
Wells Fargo $1000, opened 09/2010, closed 09/2011
Capital One $750, opened 01/2011
BofA 1-2-3 $2500, opened 08/2011
Chase Freedom $6000, opened 09/2011
Citi Forward $7000, opened 02/2012
AMEX BCE $6000, opened 02/2012
Fidelity AMEX $7500, opened 09/2012
Priceline Visa $1300, opened 09/2012
I tried for Capital One twice - 09/2011, 02/2012. Denied. Screw them. Although no foreign fee 1.5% cashback card would be nice not going to try it again for a price of 3 inqs. Their definition of excellent credit is ridiculous.
CHASE Bank...They told me since i went bad on an old WAMU Black Expressions book club credit card that i cannot get another card from them
Oh well...
I didnt think they blacklisted
I applied to citi 3 times and each time, my application was denied. I don't get it. Their excuse was too many inquires...

I have plenty of inquiries and i got approved for the AAdvantage Amex by Citi. It might work for you. EQ is 670 but 658 when i app'd and my EX is 681 so AMEX told me per their denial letter
For me it's been Citi and Bank of America.

I really think they auto deny these applications. My FICO score is at least in the 700s. With the recent inquires and newly opened accounts...its probably dropped a bit
For me it's not really a card that I can't get, but it's getting that first credit card to give a decent credit limit. For example recently approved for a discover more card and they simply matched my highest credit limit....$1200. Aarghh!!
And I guess once I get denied I don't really try and reapply.....the only card that I want and was denied for is AMEX BCE and I'm already in the AMEX family so I guess eventually I'll try for that one again and hope to have better luck!
