For me, it's Amex.  I have a discharged bankruptcy from 2005 (medical bills when I didn't have health insurance) but nothing else bad, no lates, always PIF.  I had no problem getting Chase, BofA, Discover and GE cards but I can't even get a Zync.

Barclays USAir World MC $8300 - DCU $7500 - USAA World MC $7000 - PayPal Extras MC (GE) $5500 - Chase Saphire Preferred $5000 - Discover It $6000 - Barclays Sallie May $2700 - Chase Freedom $1000 - Capital One $8500 (business) - store cards ranging from $500-$9500

I'm pretty sure you didnt ask for a portion of humility on your plate. Perhaps you went back for seconds for a side of arrogance?

I just posted a reply to the OP's question, which anyone is free to do. My answer is honest and perfectly possible, and in the future I might find myself giving a different response. My comments weren't personal, nor were they directed specifically at you or anyone else in particular. If you'd like to take it that way, then that's your choice and it's quite unfortunate. However I'd hope it doesn't and we can get back on the original topic at hand.
