Re: Cards getting the Axe in 2014?

Probably my CapOne secured card. It only has a limit of $850, and hardly use it. AF is due in march and will axe it just before.

Been good to build credit, but now it's "so long, and thanks for the fish!"

Re: Cards getting the Axe in 2014?

Have 2 local bank cards that are $750 CL each. Anniversary in Sept and they will be gone, already in the SD. Cap 1 will get a chance to grow this year but will get the ax if it doesn't sprout some new branches.

Re: Cards getting the Axe in 2014?

Unless my family wishes to use their AU accounts on my Shell card, I've already sock drawered that puppy and I'm waiting for it to slowly die...

It was one of those cards that I thought I would get a good use out of and utilize as a "mix of credit", but it's really just pointless, especially since I can get gas for cheaper. I enjoyed it for "customer loyalty", but it's just not worth that anymore!

And it obviously doesn't grow much with me, I have to use a HP just to grow it. So it's better off if we part ways Smiley Happy

Re: Cards getting the Axe in 2014?

2014 will be the year to see how long without use my Comenity Pottery Barn card lasts. I don't have any purchases planned for Pottery Barn, so it'll sit around and if something comes up, great! If it goes unused and is closed by the lender, it is what it is. It has served its purpose.

Re: Cards getting the Axe in 2014?

That day still has to come. So far I have not applied for a card that has no use to me and therefore I have no closed accounts. .... and I hope that will stay that way.... I am very picky  and the cards I want I do not always get or qualify for  and the ones I get offers for  I do not want Smiley Tongue.... so still working on the ones I want in 2014 and beyond....LOL

Re: Cards getting the Axe in 2014?

Chase Amazon.com Visa - really only got it as a CLI for my Freedom in case one was denied. Hopefully 1.5-2K from it will get added onto my Freedom to give me a 5K line.

Amex PRG - had no use for this with the 175 AF but 50K MR points was hard to pass up. Will get a BCE this year which was the original plan.
