Chances of American Express Approving me?

Im looking to apply to apply for the Amex BCE card later this month.

Simulator says my FICO will be 725 after the balances I paid down post to bureaus.

AGE - 22 YEARS OLD

FICO - 725

AAOA  - 1 YR 2 MONTHS

OLDEST ACCOUNT - 2 YEARS 2 MONTHS

INQUIRIES (EQUIFAX) - 6

OPEN LOANS - AUTO LOAN (22,000/22,000) JUST OPENED

INCOME - 30K

YEARS AT JOB - 1 YEAR 2 MONTHS

NO BAD MARKS AT ALL

I ALSO HAVE A PERSONAL LOAN OPEN FOR 3.5K ** HAS NOT YET POSTED TO THE BUREAUS**

I Live in New Jersey, I wonder what Bureau they will pull. Thanks for any info you guys can provide.

AmEx has pulled EX for me, but it varies depending on the applicant. Some have been triple pulled when they applied for charge cards with 6 months or so of history, but I don't think that's a concern for you since you have a decent AAoA.

I think you'd get approved, but I would apply before the personal loan reports,

Awesome. Thanks; My utilization is going to be at 1.22% so i'm sure they will like that my debt/credit is extremely low. As well as the fact i have consistent payments every month for all of my cards, so the payment history is definitely there.

Just hoping this personal loan doesnt post. I havent even seen the inquiry for it.

Re: Chances of American Express Approving me?

I applied for my first Amex card, Amex EveryDay, a few days ago and was approved for $2000. I would have liked more but I'll be sure to try to 3x CLI in two months. My stats were as follows:

Age: 26

Credit scores: EX-727 EQ-684 TU-712

AAOA: 3 years 8 months

Inquiries: 1-2 depending on which bureau

Loans: Car (13,000/16,000) Student (29,000/32,000)

Income: Believe I put 80k. My salary is 68k but I'll likely bring in 90-100k this year.

Time at current job: 8 months

Bad marks: Account was 90 days past due in 2008 or 2009 so not sure it still affects much. 1 collection reported but I believe that was in 2007 or 2008.

Scores as of 06/15/2015 EX-761 | EQ-785 | TU-782
Cards: Chase Freedom - $12500 | CapitalOne Quicksilver - $5000 | Amex EveryDay - $21800 | Discover it - $21300

Nice. If they approved you, I highly belive that you will get approved for the 3x. Income supports it and you dont have many inquriies. Your score will be a lot better once those collections and 90 days fall off. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Chances of American Express Approving me?

What did you just pay off? if we are not talking about a lot of util I would just apply now.  They pull EX 100% and rarely will pull a 2nd or triple.

check the pre-qual on amex.com and see if you have an offer... doesn't mean anything if you don't but if you do you for sure don't need to wait for util.
