Chances of Amex Charge

Hey

Ive posted here before saying my history in general. I was just wondering my chances of getting a amex charge card.

Ive had a hh greg department card with  a $3000 limit which i previously had a 50% util on it but have recently paid off completely. tis a little over one year old.

I also have a secured Wells fargo card with a $600 limit at 5 months old.

I dont know my new scores yet after paying off the hh greg card but my previous scores are Ex Fako 723 and EQ 681. Dont know TU.

Just wondering if i should try or wait.

Thanks

Re: Chances of Amex Charge

Well you should go to amex site and read the benefits of the zync and the different perks they offer and see if you like that and go for it. It seems that zync its the easiest card to get and with their lowest AF. Good luck!

Re: Chances of Amex Charge

I say app for the zync right now if you dont have too many inquiries and even if you are denied, you know where you stand and you get a free ex fico out of it. I would give a HP just for the fico itself. Let us know what happens!

EQ FICO - 725 (9/11/13) TU FICO - 724 (6/27/13) EX FICO (6/30/13) 755 AMEX
Im my wallet - Cap1 Platinum MC(2000) Chase Freedom(1500) AMEX BCE (7000) Discover IT (8000) CSP (15000) Cal Coast CU (8000)

Re: Chances of Amex Charge

No if your denied for one card every other app will be auto denied and you'll have to wait 31 days to app again. I went trough the same thing when apping for amex. If you really want a diff card instead of the zync then go for it but your chances might be higher with the zync. Good luck

Re: Chances of Amex Charge

The Zync is the easiest to get. However, if you really do not want it, then don't bother because you cannot PC from Zync to any charge card higher. You will have to reapply anyway. Now, you could get the Zync with the intent of building a relationship with an Amex. However, if you are looking for a higher charge card down the road, you will have to re-app. That being said, what card DO you want in the future and why?

I agree...  the criteria for Green, gold, pr gold, and zync are very similar, with zync having the auto pay limit option for those who don't qualify for NPSL,

If you have the slightest inkling that you would want a higher fee charge card, you should at a minimum app for Green, which can be upgraded after a year or so.

I think you are in a strong position to app for a charge card, especially if you're income is enough to support an ability to spend spend spend.

Amex loves spenders

Re: Chances of Amex Charge

I was approved for the Green last month.  My scores are 643 TU, 661 EX, and 670 EQ Fico.  My other cards are an Orchard MC with a $400 limit, a CareCredit $500, and Kohls $400, and a $1500 unsecured personal loan.  My utilization is 5%.  I was pretty shocked when it came back and said I was approved.  Go to the Amex site and click on "choose a card with our help" and see if you have any offers.
