Re: Charge offs, what to do?

You would need to send a GW letter to HSBC and First Preemie, request a goodwill deletion of the account, or a removal of the late payments & charge~off notation.

It is possible, but not necessarily easy, it can take many tries and letters.   But remember that it only takes 1 person to say yes.

Re: Charge offs, what to do?

You could contact each bank about possible deletion of accounts on credit report because you paid.

You may be able to put the request in with each credit agency that these accounts are paid and should be deleted and they will contact each bank for you.

Re: Charge offs, what to do?

I'd call them first to see if they would good will delete that from your record. I recently had a late removed just by calling Capital One.

Most of the time they won't do it, or will tell you that you need to mail in an good will request, Then just get a address from the rep.

it may take a few attempts of GW letters to get it removed. a lot of the time it doesn't work at all.

I would not dispute it with the agencies first. Reason being that if it fails, and you try to GW with the creditor themselves, they are less likely to GW it.

Just because it's paid, doesn't mean that it should be deleted. If you are disputing it because its inaccurate, that would be different. But you are only suppose to dispute it because it's inaccurate.
