Chase 6 month for applying after denial - hard rule?

So I app'd for the Freedom card back in May and was denied for too many inquiries in the last 12 months.  All my inquiries have now aged to the 12 month + mark ( I did quite a few apps last August).

The question is, how strict is Chase on the 6 month rule ( their apps say I have not been declined by Chase in the last 6 months) ?

Is it worth apping for the Freedom card, especially with the $250 bonus they are offering since it has been less than 6 months since the denial?

Fico (according to my Walmart Fico - 781)

thanks!

Might as well if you want the card.  I got accepted with a 716, 1 inquiry, and >50% util.

I applied for the Southwest card in March, denied, apped again in May and instant approval. Pulled EX both times. Chase is unpredictable.
