I have to agree with others. True, Chase is big on relationships but you have more than one obstacle. Bk, tons on inq's and new accts.

Your banking relationship can only help you so much. Chase is still not going to overlook major derogs on your file just because you have a couple hundred thousand deposited with them. I've seen people with BK do get credit from Chase though, and the timing is usually YMMV. In most scenarios it has to be a while after your BK.

However, you have too many inquiries and new accounts. 40 inquiries is too many, regardless of whether they're evenly distributed across all 3 bureaus or that's the number of inquiries on each bureau.

Stick with your current cards for a while to build up some history while letting your new accounts and inquiries age.

Re: Chase After BK...

5 yr old BK is still too recent, yours was 9yrs, and about to fall off soon.  I would say wait awhile like others have said, and prime yourself  for a better position.  One look at those inquiries, and you'll appear desperate for credit.  Chase won't fall for that, even with a large deposit on the books.  This process is slower that we want it to be sometimes, but there are many reasons to wait it out, and not kill another inquiry for nothing, but it is a YMMV situation for each individual.

Re: Chase After BK...

From what I have read and heard, Chase is notoriously BK unfriendly whether you burned them or not. If I were you, take it slowly, get your scores at least 670+ and make sure the level of inquiries you have fade, and then try because there is a high and very strong chance you will be denied if you decide to app right now. Re: Chase After BK...

It depends. My wife got her Chase card five years after our BK Ch 7.  We are 9 years into the BK, but I still cannot get one from them. For now I am using my Amex, Discover, Wells Fargo, and Cap1. And we did not have Chase in our BK, but we did Disc and Amex.

Re: Chase After BK...

Park the cash at Chase for six months while you show responsible usage on your current cards and keep your utilization low. When you apply, your best bet might be the Freedom card since it's easier to qualify for, and be sure to apply with a Chase banker (not online) and mention your banking relationship.
