Can someone who has applied with Chase recently, that had a BK and got approved (most likely on Recon) tell me how they are filling out the application on line?  At the top of every app I've looked at for every card they have, it asks;

"Before completing the app, you should be able to answer Yes to the following statements"

!. Yes, my credit history is clear of bankruptcy"

And there are two others, but how are you all applying when you have a BK on your credit report?

I want to get an ASPCA cc as I donate a lot to them and CHASE gives them 75.00 for each cc issued.   I can't get by that first question about BK. Sooooooooo I called the recon number and asked.  She said to answer truthful about BK (it's 8-1/2 years old) and they always call you to ask about the circumstances before denials.  Depends on what you have done since.  I thought that was encouraging.

Does anyone know who they pull in CT?

I just got a Chase Subaru card.  I don't have a BK, but one of the other questions they ask is if you've been denied credit by Chase in the past six months.  I had been denied, but since then, my score jumped up.  I reapplied and got the card.  At first I got the standard 5-7 days notice, but I called the approval line about 3 days later and found out I was approved.

I think they just ask those questions so they know what to research.

Chase always pulls EQ for me in Iowa.  But there was a thread about CCCs starting to rotate through the CRAs

I'm in CO and they pulled EX....my worst (well, when they pulled)

I applied for the Visa Platinum last year with a 7 yo BK7. They gave me 5K with 674 EX. Might have been a group of car inqs left reporting so maybe they counted as one. They were included in my BK BTW. Not much a couple thousand bucks. Applied for a Chase Freedom back in October 2007 and was declined for the BK. I imagine they are willing to give me the 5K now but nothing else. I have about a year of payment history with them currently. Maybe they will grow with me and maybe not. I still think they are a prime issuer just wish the limit was higher not that I need it.
