I entered my balance transfer information on the app for Chase Slate and was instantly approved about a week ago. Just got my card and activated it yesterday. Do I have to wait another week for the BT to go through? It's just been sitting as pending this whole time and obviously my Citi card I'm BTing from has not been paid yet either. Do anyone know how long it will take?
Just make sure you pay Citi until it goes through. Worst case scenario is that they send Citi too much money and Citi cuts you a check for the difference (I'm assuming you were transferring the whole balance). You do not want to end up having to pay a late fee to Citi because you thought the BT was going to go through.
Yes, obviously I'm going to keep paying Citi until everything is done, but I just wanted to know how long the wait will be.
Pay the minimum payment at least my chase BT's took longer than I expected, even after it was marked paid by chase, the creditor didn't reduce my balance for a few more days almost a week.

BT can take upwards of 2 weeks to process. When I did one, that's the message I got. The actual timeframe was 9 days.
I've done transfers online with Chase, and it usually takes around a week. Now I just use the balance transfer checks they always send. When I deposit in the bank, they release the hold after a couple days, and I use the money to pay the other card.
Just an update: It's been a week since I ACTIVATED the Chase card and the balance I transferred has just posted to that account. Now I'm just waiting for Citi to get Chase's payment and post to that card and I'll be all set.
