Chase Balance Transfers

May be a dumb question but.....how does Chase look at balance transfers......I have an IHG card with 12K limit and recently got balance transfer checks for 0% until 2016.  Thinking about using them to pay off a Lowes card with a 5K balance.  Just wondering if bumping the utilization to almost 50% on this single card would hurt my credit score much or cause problems with Chase.  My current FICOs are EQ 724, EX 746, and TU 756

If they sent the checks, they want you to use them.

Just wondering what moving around credit does to your credit score in the meantime.

Should be pretty negligible.

+1

The more important question is, how much can you save in interest costs over the term when you use the 0% offer? Quite a lot, I'm guessing (I know, use them all the time).

People worry too much about their credit score while using the cards after they worried about their credit score to get the cards. Use the cards, people, it is granted credit. It shows direct good payment history with Chase.
