Chase CLI...

DONT JUMP ON ME EVERY ONE...yes i am in gardening and 11 days app free but...last week i tried to get a CLI on my slate card because of the 0% apr on BT and no fees as well. well i called the back door number and they said no because of too many new accounts, too many inqs in the past 12 months, and something else. so today it came to me lol..call the exce office..so i did i called spoke to some nice and explanied why there are so many new accounts.

i told them i was rebuilding for the past few years and i was trying to get the best rates and limits on new cards. i also said i closed FP and HSBCE. also said i now have an amex with NPSL. said the CO was paid. i then went on to say i would like to make chase my primary card because i like how i am treated at the branch when i walk in. she said ok. i need to do some reserach first it may take 24-48 hrs to complete. i then said that this was on of my lower limits that i have other cards with much higher limits. she then gave me her full name and number and ext. and again said it may take 24 hrs to do research. lets see what happens. but i am glad for the reasons i got denied it means my credit is there but not quite there. much better then what i was getting 8 months ago when all the baddies were listed for the reasons.

Re: Chase CLI...

Having to much credit in a short amount of time is BAD! Picture this - you have a friend who works but is always broke. He asks you for $5. You give it, he pays you back. He then asks for $10. You give it. You then learn that another friend has loaned him $40. Days later he's asking for $100. Would you give it? I don't think so. Please just garden. You don't realize it but you are hurting yourself.

I wanted a Discover card so bad. I had multiple new accounts. No baddies. They approved me. They gave me a 1700 CL. 3% intro APR for 6 months and 23.99% APR after that. This is basically a subprime card. This is what happens when you apply and push to get approved for things if you have high UTL or multiple inquiries. That is a horrible deal. Imagine if I would have waited...gardened...and then applied. I might have gotten the 0% APR for 15 months then 15% after with a 4500 CL.

Big difference. You're hurting yourself quit appliying for things
