I "THOUGHT" Discover usually requires income verification in the $15-$25k range? can anyone chime in, I thought it was $15 or $20 but maybe it's like Amex and it's not a for sure thing but can happen... but an instant $22k from Discover? I dunno.... you had me until that!~

They do at $20,000 and higher. An instant Discover approval for $22,000 sounds very unusual because a senior credit analyst told me instant approvals would never go above $15,000. Policies change so it is possible.

Re: Chase Credit Card High Limit

Discover recently bumped me to $24k on an sp with no income verification. That said, they started me at $1k a few years back, so I had to work my way up. I'm very surprised by an instant approval over $20k. Discover generally requires borrowers to earn their stripes, even extremely well qualified ones.

Re: Chase Credit Card High Limit

Does OP know the income of this individual? Is OP's income identical to this person? This is all in hypothetical land and we're all swimming in a lake of no information :smileyvery-happy:

I don't mean to be unfriendly, but I think reading texts without any interpunction is confusing.

No there's no routine.  As always it's about one's credit (not just scores), income and the creditor's criteria.
