Hi All,
Looking for some short advice. My wife and I are about to apply for the Chase Freedom card, but aren't sure who is the better person to be the primary applicant.
Our credit scores are essentially identical (mid 700s) but reports are slightly different. Neither of us have any derogs or negative items & <10% utilization. The differences though are I am an authorized user on two old cards and have a closed PIF auto loan - she only has her two one cards and no auto loan. She, I believe, has a greater AAoA if my AU accounts aren't taken into consideration. If the application would consider the age of my AU accts, I will have a greater AAoA than she.
I know not a ton of detail here, but with this, any input on who may be a better candidate?
Thanks
why dont you both try to apply and who ever gets the better CL close the other and just add an AU to the open card
Doesn't matter. 700+ score and over a year history with no negs should get you both approved.
Thanks all. I'm trying to maximize the limit; or now that I think about it the freedom is no preset , correct?

no afaik there is a limit for the freedom
There is a signature version of the Freedom that has some looser CL rules. It still has a limit but you can exceed it, it's kinda funny.
The regular Freedom has a CL that reports.
