Chase Freedom Auto CLI question

For those of you who have receieved multiple credit line increases, how long was it between your first CL and you next one? It seems like they start considering people for the first one around the four month mark but I was wondering how long they wait before considering another auto limit increase.

YMMV but Chase is usually a 6 month reviewer

So every 6 months

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

+1

OP - there is no exact CLI "barometer" that could somehow magically forecast when an expected CLI would occur.  These forums represent only a small fraction of the whole Fredoom CC population to discern some plausible statistics.

Some individuals have received auto-CLIs in a 4-6 month period, others none.  Some have received it in a year's mark, others not so much.  It's a YEMV situation like anything.  Chase CCs are usually a spend-centric, so your spending, internal scoring, periodic AR, history, will determine the outcome.  Even two individuals with similar profiles will receive different outcomes.

Re: Chase Freedom Auto CLI question

They gave me a $500 starting limit. Im coming up on month three and hoping for a review soon.

I know that heavy usage may help an AUTO CLI.

Does heavy usage mean swiping lots and lots? Or could it also mean swiping once for a large amount, and paying it off before statement cuts?

I intend to leave maybe 20 bucks either way when statement cuts.

Re: Chase Freedom Auto CLI question

Sounds like you are in the same boat as me. I'm at 3 months sunday, and hoping for an auto CLI increase in the next month. I'm also trying for heavy usage - have put some 6.6k through the card since I got it (1k first month, 2.9k second month, 2.7k thus far this month) - mostly in transactions less than $100, but a few above $200. Will be interesting given my lack of other history to see if that works (I also have a banking relationship with them though).

Heavy usage is putting alot of transactions through, and some larger purchases (but not a single large purchases I don't think - thought its pretty hard to go too large with a 500 dollar limit Smiley LOL).

Keeping your util at statement cut is pretty sound, 1-9% is optimum so $20 isn't bad. Paying off before the statement cuts is definitely advisable though as you plan.

i just let it cut at 200. YIKES! First statement was 82, and I made a few payments during the month so I'm putting a decent amount through. Enough that I got my bonus already, and let it cut at 200. UGH! So disappointed but lets hope for the best...Im only expecting like a 300 dollar increase if anything...

Do you have a Visa or Mastercard?

There's a rumor I heard that MC's are more CLI friendly.
