We are looking to refi our house in the very near future and I need to increase my credit score ASAP. I read in the interwebs that if you pay down your balance to $0, Chase will report to the Credit agencies the next day. Does anyone know if this is true. My statement cut date just past which mean I would want to wait another month to start the app process if this is not true since they normally report right after a statement cut date. I have a Chase Freedom Card.
It's true. They report the $0 balance when you pif. One of the nice perks of Chase cards.
Yep.. definitely my experience that they will report when you PIF. Definitely an awesome benefit of being with Chase.
I have heard they do this too. Just remember to not let all of your cards report a $0 balance because you will actually lose points that way. Keep one card (and only one card) reporting a balance somewhere between 1% and 9% for the best possible score (most people will say 1% is the best).
Excellent. Thank you. I called and asked and they gave me the standard 30 day response. Not sure if the woman I spoke to understood what I was asking.

Front line Csr's will not be able to help you with that. Just pay and give it a day or so and check your credit report.
