I called to recon my newly approved $5k CL Freedom card and was sadly declined. In a minor episode of shock, I hung up the phone and shook it off over the weekend. I called back to get the reason and I was told that it was because I didn't have any other tradeline that was more than $5k. I then explained one detail of my BoA card that he couldn't tell or just overlooked: it's a signature card, which means that I could potentially go over that $5k limit and still be approved. He agreed and gave me a CLI to $6500!
Phew!
