I received another offer in the mail to apply for Chase Slate Card with 0% intro APR for 9 months, $0 annual fee and limited time $0 intro balance transfer fee.

 

I was wondering if Slate is a better card than Freedom? Which card is easier to get approved for?

A CSR rep told me both required about the same amount of creditworthiness.

The Slate will be easier for approval since it offers no rewards and is basically good for the 0% interest. In your current situation, you should NOT apply for anymore chase cards right now given the fact that you have only had the Chase SW card for 2 months and already carry a large balance on it. In their eyes, they will see that as a bad thing.

I got a $5000 Freedom with like a 640 FICO... But it took two or three recons!

What was your total credit limit and oldest revolving account age when you applied for the Freedom?
