so the points are offered at x amount extra per dollar spent.
so if something is 12points extra per dollar spent im assuming thats 13% cash back total? correct?
and do these items have to be bought through the website or can i go into the store and purchase it with my card?
im planning on buying a winter coat.
right now i have an ae pea coat but i think it will be tight with a suit jacket etc.
im looking at north face and columbia jackets. they are both being offered deals through the ultimate rewards mall.

Are you buying clothes through the Ultimate Rewards mall? Or redeeming points for clothes? Not totally sure about the cash back points.

I believe the vanilla 1% Cash Back is already factored in. If I'm not mistaken, since Chase and Discover do the 5% Cash Back as (4% rotating categories + 1% on everything). 12% though is a pretty sweet offer.

yeah thats why the offer says 12pts extra per dollar. not including the already 1 percent.
but for example kohls right now is 5% including the 1% but if you shop online its actually 10% since they are offering an extra 5% for shopping online with the freedom.

the way it was explained to me was if you shop at the official website you don't have to. as long as you check out with chase freedom for example at nike.com I think it's 3 extra points right now. just go to nike store WEBSITE and order stuff then checkout with the freedom and should be credited to your account..
if I remember right someone posted about not knowing about the rewards mall and ordered about 5/600 dollars worth of stuff and at the time they were offering I think 9% cash back from chase because of office depot. (stuff was ordered online but not through the ultimate rewards mall)

Usually you have to purchase through the UR link. It is a referral style link, so that's how they track the points.
