Chase Freedom app on weekend?

I applied for the Chase Freedom tonight around 2am CST and got the "further review 7-10 days" notice. Does it matter that I applied on a weekend? I am going to call the recon # (first time ever calling a recon #) but should I do it tomorrow, Sunday, or wait for Monday? Here is some basic info from me:

TU 707, Exp 688, Eq 671

Current cards - WF Rewards $4,600 limit, Cap One $500 limit (first CC).

Thanks all!

Go for it. I got my CF "approved" on a Sunday with a credit analyst.

However, if they ask you to fax stuff in, they take their sweet time processing it.

Re: Chase Freedom app on weekend?

I doubt it matters if you apply on the weekends or during weekdays or in the morning or the middle of the night. You can call today but it probably won't be much help since it takes 24 hours or so for someone to take a look at your application. So it's better to wait until Monday or Tuesday.

Re: Chase Freedom app on weekend?

Cool, thank you guys. I'm glad I joined this board. I work for WF and alot of info on here will be useful to pass on to customers. I know we (WF) can be pretty stringent on approving customers and I am hoping I can get approved for this Chase Freedom because of the great rewards program as well as 0% for 15 months Smiley Happy Any how, thanks everyone!

Good luck; chase freedom is a nice card to have. On the other hand if you have to fax stuff in; then that means you are approved!

Re: Chase Freedom app on weekend?

No, I haven't called recon yet. I have never called a recon line so I don't know how to initiate the conversation. Can anyone give me a Segway of how I should go about it? I know I'm over thinking this whole thing but if anyone has advice that'd be great!

Re: Chase Freedom app on weekend?

Recon, still denied. I had a settlement in March 2010, and although I have a Cap One and a WF established since then, they like to see more credit established. Damn.

You should call again tomorrow. I was denied on my first recon attempt to. Second call went a lot better and I was approved for $1000 limit.

Good luck!
