I say give it a call again!
My girlfriend just applied for the CSP last friday. Got a pending msg as well, and she called in. They said it's processing, and she's neither declined / approved and just got to wait. No one was able to expedite it. She called again yesterday, and a lady said she could email the department to expedite it. She got a call few hours later from Chase, verified her ID, and got approved over the phone.
It's kinda a "test your luck" thing and best way to do it is to keep calling until you get an analyst that's more receptive and willing to help. Of course, it's not always a guaranteed approval with recon, but at least you tried as much as you could.
