So I was going through some old documents today, for some reason I keep denial letters, I think it helps me see the reason for denial, and then I can establish goals on how to correct whatever is wrong on my report. Anyway, I came up on a letter from Chase dated January 24th of this year (A day after I was approved for Amex ) My sole denial reason was "Too many recent requests for credit"
My question is, if I were to apply today, which I'm not planning on, would I be approved, as I have opened no new accounts since then? Or would they find another reason to deny me..
Odds are, they'll decline you for the SAME reason.
Do you know how many inquiries you have in the last six months? Last year?
