Chase Freedom

I recently applied  for capital one secured card and was approved for $251.  This is my only card. I have no credit history.

My question is Should I wait up to a year to apply for chase freedom?

I have a chase checking and saving account.

We are going to need a lot more info than that. What are your scores and your baddies? how many inq? Having a chase checking account wont do much in terms of approval unless maybe if you have a ton of money with them and can apply in the branch. How much did you have to put down on the capital one card? The full 251 or was it less?

AMEX PRG NPSL,Lowes $17000,Capital One venture card $12,000,Us Airways mastercard $9500,Fidelity Amex $9000, Discover it $8000, Capital One Venture One $7500, BOA 123 rewards $7500 CSP $6000, Capital One Quicksliver $5500, Amazon Store card$5000,Barclay
Card Ring $5000 Chase Marriott $5000,Chase Hyatt $5000, Sallie Mae Mastercard $4400, Paypal smart connect $4000,Chase Freedom $3200, Capital one Quicksliver visa $3000, Chase IHG Rewards $2300, Chase Southwest Premier $2000, Citi Double Cash $1500, AMEX BCE $1000

Re: Chase Freedom

I dont not have a score yet since i just started.

Clean history. Owe nothing.

I have 3 inq, one  from capital one 3/19/14 , the other two is from applying for credit card processor. I didnt know they would  pull my history..  These two were on 1/30/2014 on same day.

I only had to put down $49 for capital one to recieve the $200 limit. I currently have $400 credit limit.

I have too many inq in a short period of time. Should I wait for another 2 years?

Re: Chase Freedom

You don't have too many inqs. Inqs stop affecting your score less after 6-12 months. You could wait 6mos but no reason to wait 2 yrs.

Wait the 6 months. 1. because you will generate a score and 2. the bonus for the freedom card has been 200 not 100 around the holiday times. I just got mine now cause im supposed to be gardeing so I can buy a house next year.

Re: Chase Freedom

For reference I applied and was instantly approved for the Freedom 8 months after beginning my credit. Just make sure you are responsible with your cap1!
