Chase Hyatt – got an email from Hyatt, what to do

I got this email from Hyatt, as attached, recommending the Chase Hyatt Card and it says apply before 8/15/2014. What does this mean? Are they stopping the applications for this card after 8/15/14?
Totally confused on what to do now. I was planning to apply for this card sometime next year after gardening a bit. What do you all think?

I think you should not apply for a card just because they send you an email. I got the same exact email and I believe is the same offer that it always is (if someone sees a different term  please chime in). The card itself is not going away on 8/15/14.

I would guess whatever promo is listed in the image (Something about X # of points after spending x # of dollars) will change after that date.

I'm a bit new here but noticed at the end of your siggy; "in the garden from 06/18/14"... Is that a reminder for yourself...? LOL!!! Either way, GOOD LUCK!!! Smiley Happy

After that date the promotion will change. it may get better it may get worse. The Southwest Rapid rewards was doing two roundtrip tickets for xxx amount spend. Now its just 25k points which is barely one ticket. The hyatt ran a promotion that was two free nights at a hyatt property plus 50 bonus. So maybe that one will come back.

Josh2942: I believe Hyatt is still doing that promotion – 2 free nights on bonus and one free night every year. Cant loose that offer.
