Chase Hyatt landed me Explorist Status??

Random but I 've just noticed that my Hyatt loyalty tier is Explorist rather than the standard "Discoverist" status obtained through the card. I cant explain why but I did just get the Hyatt card1-2 months ago. I've only spend $2k on the card. Anyhow, it was a nice surpise.

No idea. I have the hyatt card and am only discoverist.

Alright I figured it out. I was Platinum status pre “World of Hyatt” days thus had MLife matched to Gold. Post “World of Hyatt” got me discoverist status but the MLife gold bumped me up to Explorist which is equivalent.
