Chase Marriott Sig.

I was recently approved for a 5k line of credit. I was hoping that this would help my utilization... I learned via this site that signature cards do not factor in utilization... Anyone else have any experience with this?

Not personally Smiley Very Happy But it would really upset me if they were unable to report such a significant line that would help your util. I've heard that its because you have the ability to go over your actualy limit, as long as the amount gone over it PIF on the due date. But I'm sure if you call them up, they can report it...hopefully.

Both of my Chase cards report util, including my CSP which is a visa signature. I'm pretty sure it works the same way for the Marriott card as well.

Re: Chase Marriott Sig.

Thought they solved visa signature and reporting but I think it depends on issuer. They report limit and flexible line or something like that. But some report no limit and some don't report at all. Think it depends on issuer

So it will factor in utilization?

Re: Chase Marriott Sig.

Yes, it will.

Now, if you had gotten a BoA Visa Sig, that might be a different story.
