Chase Payment question....

I am not going to be around much this weekend... Anyways charged 2k yesterday to one of my chase cards..  It hasn't posted yet, thinking it might post tonight anyways, set a payment up tomorrow already for 2k to be withdrawn from account (Chase obviously lets you pay more then you owe).  Does this cause a problem if my transaction doesn't post tonight?  I assume it will just go they owe me money until it posts, once it posts then it will be even.. Would this be a correct assumption? Thanks

OP,

I've done this more than once, and you will just get a negative blance until the charges post.
