I applied for the chase freedom on 03/25 and i received the 7-10 msg and I called the backdoor # and the lady asked me to fax a copy of my DL and ss# and i did that first thing on 03/26 I have been calling them every day since 03/26 and i was told my fax was scanned into the system on 03/29 and my file still pending when i call the auto # it says my app still pending also and it could take 30 days one of the reps told me it could take 2 weeks from the 29th for them to make a decision. I have no idea what this all means but i hope it doesn't take the long to get a denial.
@youngandcreditwrthy

@Nezzy wrote:Hello, this is my first time writing on this forum and I have a question in regards to Chase recons and past experiences. I applied online for a Chase Freedom and was given the "pending further review," I immediately called one of the numbers that I found on goggle that are considered back door numbers, and spoke to a nice lady. I asked the reason for the denial or if more information was needed. The nice lady gladly looked into my application and told me I was denied. She then asked me a few questions and placed me on hold several times, she finally asked me about a baddie in the amt of $188.00, that I'm pretty sure I took care of a long time ago. I let her know that and she continued to ask more questions, I was already bummed and then finally the conversation ended with me needing to supply my license for address verification. At no time did she say yes or no, all that was told is that I will receive a letter within 5 days with information on where to fax my license. Is this a good sign or not? I'm a little confused and consider myself a credit newbie any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
In my experience this means you are approved, nice job!
They wouldn't be asking for documentation if they intended on denying you for the card.
Many forum members, including myself, were initially denied, then approved after recon and supplying a copy of Govt Issued ID, and a recent utility bill in my name and at my new address.
Any advice?? ;/
I was rejected at first for my Chase Freedom, but after a quick call to the recon line I was able to talk to someone helpful. She went over my application, saw zero delinquents, and asked some verification questions. I was kind of discouraged at first because this was my 2nd recon call. After the representative requested for my social security and driver's license for address verification, she reassured me that they wouldn't even bother asking for these documents if they weren't considering me for approval.
After about a little over a week, I was approved for $3,000! Good luck! Talking to someone friendly and helpful makes a difference.

Call the application status line, or the analyst back, and ask them to look for the status of your application.
It took less than one week after I faxed in my DL and SS card
Try these numbers and ask them to lookup your application status:
Chase: 888-270-2127 (App recon) Chase: 888-245-0625 (Credit Analyst - Recons)
