Id personally apply now... if you have issues or get denied, then go back in 6 months... Chase is also good with recon, especially current cardholders.

OP can definitely apply now. I just hate the HP's for CLI's with Chase. Of course, I'm assuming they will give what's reporting now$8000 or less.

So, after listening to everyones' advice on this thread and I decided to go ahead and apply. I got the "10 day" message, but reconed and was approved for $5,000 limit! I am so stoked! This pretty much completes my credit card collection for the time being!

Congrats. I did feel you were going to get approved without the Amex  CLI.  Good job on your recon.
