Nice, I've really been looking at the Sapphire, it seems like a better fit for me than my Amex, especially when combined with a Freedom.

Personal banker? Where/who do I call?
If you're not in Chase footprint just call the backdoor number you can find somewhere on this forums.

Here is a link to the recon numbers: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Backdoor-Numbers/m-p/408066/highlight/true#M136936
Say whatever you want really. Personally, I'd just call and say hey my limit is $5K and I'm wondering if you can increase this limit.
I called and it says "Sorry we're closed, normal business hours are Monday thru Saturday 8am to Midnight eastern" . It was 11:15 when I called...I tried both Chase backdoor numbers...what the heck? lol
I tried customer service (normal customer service) and she said 5,000 was max based on what they saw on the credit report and theyd have to do another hard pull to increase it. Does she know what she was talking about? She didn't have access to my report or anything.
The point of the backdoor numbers is because it connects you to credit analyst that can actually make and change the decision. Call in the morning, they will work with you.

+1 Call back in the morning.
Congrats to the OP!! The CS for the Sapphire card is top-notch. I think they put their most talented (and friendliest) CSRs on those phone lines...
I was just curious though... I currently have a Chase Sapphire card (non-preferred) and would consider applying for a Chase Preferred for the sign-up bonus. Will Chase still honor the bonus even if I already have a Sapphire card? I have all of my accounts with them too (mortgage, checking, savings, and 4 CCs). I'm planning on closing my Southwest RR card in a couple months (I just don't use it much) and would get this card to replace it.

My friend had a similar question, the Chase's answer was "yes." They consider the CSP as a completely different card than the CS.
Thats to my understanding also. They're two different products.
