Chase Sapphire - Recon question

I'm just curious, they only said pending, they didn't say an estimate of how long it would take? I'm sort of in the same boat w/ Freedom. I reconed with a live rep and was told they couldn't do it over the phone and it had to be further processed and that I would get a letter within 30 days. I thought that meant denied, then about 30 days later I got a letter that asked for proof of address / social security card, from what I understand and from what users on here tell me that means I'm more than likely approved. Possibly same thing with you?

I do admit they did tell me it can take up to 30 days to complete it but then they also said it shouldn't take that long. They also told me I would receive something in the mail once a decision has been made. So it sounds like you and I are in the same boat.  So you did get a letter asking for that info, did you send it back? If so, were you approved and for how much may I ask?

I may try calling again today. I have called in probably 4 times already, talked with a different rep each time and they all say its pending. I'm tempted to ask for a sup but I don't want to make them mad over it.

I did send the letter in about a week ago, I haven't heard anything yet, I'm going to try and call see if they've processed anything yet. I asked about it on here and people were telling me that its basically approval. One guy said he had the same thing and it took about 2 weeks and then on his online Chase account he could see a new account and a few days later the card came in the mail.

I'll update you once I call them, and if I get any other correspondence

Yeah, let me know what you hear. I'm thinking of calling them today since the first guy said it should be done by the 5th. I just feel like I'm harassing them.

I called to check the status just now, still in a pending status but she said she was going to call over to someone to see if they can get it decisioned. She made it sound like it was in a system decision status now but that it would be manually reviewed.

I called today, they haven't received my letter yet and nothing else shows in their system. Will update when I hear anything.

I wouldn't call it harassing, just wanting answers... if it can take a few seconds for others to get approved, why does it take 30 days to look at ours?

I recently applied for the chase card and they came back to many

inquires. I called the backdoor number that was listed on this forum but I don't

think its the real backdoor number because the rep who answered the phone didn't

speak english to well.

Do you think I have a good chance to recon with them since

it was only because of to many inquires?

Also if any of you have a real backdoor number to speak with

a credit analyst that would be great

I explained that my inquiries were from shopping around for a auto loan.  They said that was ok then, but I still have no clue the status of the recon.

I wonder if the csr/recon folks keep tabs on how ofter someone whose application is pending calls.  Does anyone think calling daily makes one appear desperate for a credit line and therefore less likely to be accepted/approved??
