I am considering applying for a Chase Slate Card. I’ve done a little research and it looks like they pull TU in Illinois/Chicago/Midwest. My TU Fico is 694 (according to myfico.com in 3/2012). I have one paid utility collection for 2007, no lates/baddies except that paid collection and 46%’ish utilization, no inquiries. I’d like the card for the BT @ 0% and $0 BT fees.
I was an AU on a Circuit City card a few years ago, which had pretty high CL and was always paid on time. The card/account is now closed. I’m not sure if this helps me at all with Chase?
Any advice?
when does that paid util bill fall off late 2013 or 2014? waiting is out of the question so i would def get that util down and yes they pull tu in chicago area
I'm not 100% sure when the derog falls off. I'm assuming 2014, but I can't 100% confirm. That was a utility that my old roomies opened in my name. I didn't know about it until it was too late - and naive me thought if I paid it off, it would go away. Oh, the things you learn over the years.
I know the utilization is a little high - but hoping they'd overlook that being that I want to transfer all of it to them?
Interesting development here. I pulled the trigger and applied. Instantly "received the 7-10 pending review" notice. So, I called and they notified me that I was declined because of a Chase charge-off in 2005. I was transferred to another department and they verified that this "charge off" was deemed fraudulent (THANK YOU) and transferred me to an account rep. She asked me some questions, verified some stuff and then pulled my EXPERIAN report. I was approved for $1500. I asked for an additional $1500. Rep came back and said I was approved for $3500 - BOOM! Thank you Chase!
*Edit - I'll add that my Experian Plus Score is 731 - with no lates, no baddies, no derogs. Perfectly clean.
