I received the following e-mail to apply for a Chase Slate by a deadline:
I am far beyond the typical 5/24 expectation. Is it a pre-approved offer based on some initial evaluations or just a marketing e-mail?
Also, I am mainly interested in Chase Freedom. In case that an application would be submitted and it would be approved, is it feasible to upgrade it to Chase Freedom?
The only cases of bypassing 5/24 that seem to have been successful (twice for me this year) are the green check marks in the Your Offers link:
Do you have anything showing there? If so, if it has an actual APR (not a range like 13-24%) and just asks for your income and to check the agree box, then it's a solid offer that bypasses 5/24. Yes, a Slate can be product changed to any of the core Chase cards (not cobranded like Marriott). The Freedom Unlimited in my signature began life as another card that eventually became a Slate.
Nope. No offer is there. So, no application submission...
Also, is there a HP if asking to change a core CC Chase to another core CC?
No, and I would request it by Secure Message to make sure it gets done right. Chase only does HPs for new applications (often 2) and customer-initiated CLIs.
