Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards Visa

Hey gang! Been looking at this card for a little bit and right now there's two free flights that come with it. I have around 715 credit. 1 inq in last 6 months. Anyone know what bureau they pull and if you think ill get approved? Any thoughts would be appreciated! Cheers!

Pulled EX for me, tough one to get... incidentally I called customer service the other day to request the difference in miles between promotions... it was 30k in May when I applied... no chance in hell I figure but worth a shot Smiley Wink

Re: Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards Visa

I got my SW card last summer when they had the 2 free flights promo.  It took, if I remember, a little over 2 weeks to get an answer on my app.  Chase typically doesn't give instant approvals on their airline cards.  I did get approved for the $5k Siggy card.  The free flights are a pretty good deal as it only requires one transaction to have them posted to your RR account.

Do you mind me asking what your credit was like at the time?

Re: Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards Visa

They pulled EQ and I think my score was around 750 with 1 INQ in the previous 6 months and possibly 3 in the previous 12.  My util is always less than 9% and usually 1-2%.  I also had 3 other Chase cards at the time.  I do know now they are very INQ sensitive. so it you have a lot it'll probably be a deal breaker.

Re: Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards Visa

Yup just one. EX in my case, approved instantly. Didn't find out the CL for about a week I believe. They don't state it even for instant approvals. I've heard a lot of people get the review message on that card. More than not, but I had a chase card for several years before. Not sure of scores at the time. But they're picky. That was the second time in 3 months I had applied.

Re: Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards Visa

So I decided to pull the trigger last week and app'd for this card. I was told they would notify me by mail in two weeks of their decision. That's what it says when I call the status line as well. Any ideas on how to speed up this process and get a decision sooner? Is it wise to call, and if so what number? Thanks myFico'ers!

Re: Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards Visa

Thought I would bump this. Chase is offering 50k points + 10k additional for balance transfers. Can be used for Amazon gift cards (100 points = $1). I pulled the trigger on this and was instantly approved for $5k. I'll just balance transfer my Amex to this card, and use the $600 Amazon credit towards the new receiver Ive been looking at Smiley Wink I dont really fly SW often but the points are a great deal even if you only keep the card a year.

Before you ask, they pulled EX, my FICO is about 710, one paid collection from 6 years ago, lowest credit card limit $500 highest $20k, one auto loan reporting, one motorcycle loan reporting. AAoA is 4 years.
