I could do things I'm not proud of for that $500 banking offer. I'm with BoA for my primary bank, and they aren't anything special. Got a whopping $0 for opening my accounts with them, but at least I'm getting $120 a year on my BBR - that's free Netflix for just paying my bill.
Now I need to replace my debit card because it's cracking in two pieces below the mag stripe and they want to charge me a $5 fee to replace it. The only place I use my debit card is their ATM's.
Ever consider switching to Chase? Do you have one near you? I opened my debit account with them yesterday and am lucky enough to have a chase just down the street from me.I tried in the past. Not sure I want to try again.
I had the Chase $500 offer back in May of 2015. I drove 90 miles to the nearest branch (none in Northern Nevada), to open my account. They denied me, based on something in my Experian report.
I ended up with BoA because I absolutely was leaving Wells Fargo.
When I tried to open the account online, it denied me as well and stated contact experian. I called experian and there were no issues with my report. So I went to the branch for the application and it went through just fine. Maybe its because they need copies of ID and whatever else they cant get online. But im not sure why the denial letter stated experian as the issue.
