I have a Chase Freedom that I PCd from a plain platinum one. It has been my only CC for several years. It has a $1300 CL. Recently, I was approved for Discover It with $6500 CL. Is it reasonable for me to expect a bump from Chase on my next periodic review?
I’m in the garden, so I don’t want to take a HP by calling for a CLI. I’m hoping they will take the hint. Can anyone offer evidence that my hope is not without merit?
I've never gotten an auto with Chase. Took a HP for one and they gave me $500, $1500->$2000. I escalated to executive office and got them to match my Discover at $5k. A HP for $500 made my blood boil. For $3500 I was OK with it. They still refuse to budge on the 29% APR they jacked the rate to when they took over my WAMU card.
@Bobert22
I do use it quite a bit, but I never approach the CL I pay what I charge during the month, sometimes allowing a modest (less than 10%) balance to post for activity.
Guess I will just wait and see. I've noticed a few people posting about surprise CLI from Chase, so perhaps I'll get to join that club.

Yep, looks like Chase stuck it to a lot of former WaMu customers. They cut my CL and raised my APR. The APR didn't bother me, since I wasn't carrying balances. I was happy that they didn't cancel the card out right. I was only a couple of years out from BK7.

I only used it for the bonus categories but they did send out a 0% BT 12 months off last year I took advantage off, finally able to put the credit line to use.

I've gotten a couple of auto-cli's from Chase on my Freedom. I got them at 6 months and 1 year. 500 and 300 respectively. I've run over 10k through the card in 12 months and recently approved for Sapphire Preferred. Chase has been good to me as long as I've been good to them.

You could always apply for another Chase card and after you open it you could move the credit line from your old WAMU card over to your new chase card.
They did the same thing to my dad, moved his WAMU card to a Freedom and put the rate at 28.24% and refused to move it (18k credit line) We applied for a CSP for him and then called and them moved the entire 18K line over to his CSP on top of the line they gave him for that card. So how he has the new credit line and old at 15.24% (only rate for the CSP)

Yes, I've read where people, at least lately, are getting auto CLIs. Guess I will just have to be patient and see what happens. Fingers crossed.

CSP is my target card, but not going for it until my loan balances are lower. If they haven't raised the Freedom by the time I app for the CSP, I will do as you suggest, but I was hoping to have both cards for the combined benefits, especially since I have a Chase checking.
