Chase consolidation success!

Was able to move over entire 5K CL on new Amazon card to existing Freedom card. Freedom CL is now 12K. Getting a 5 figure CL was a credit goal of mine this year. Didn't expect it to happen with Chase but I'll take it!

Thanks! Yes I asked but the answer I've always gotten is no the account is not eligible for an upgrade. I feel it's somewhat random since the Amazon card was Visa Signature. I've pretty much given up hope the Freedom will be upgraded. At any rate, I have another Visa Signature so I can still use the concierge and all my big purchases go to Amex anyways for the purchase protection.

Congrats! So, the Amazon is now closed?

Yes it's closed. They did give me the option to leave $500 on the Amazon to keep it open and, to my surprise, retain Visa Signature status. So apparently it is possible to have a Visa Signature with <5K CL, but through consolidation.
