Chase freedom approved 1k recon?

Do I have a shot with a recon for higher limit? Reports clean besides a 8 year old BK, 3% UTI. Anyone have any success with limits recons? Or should I just be happy I'm in the door with chase ?

Re: Chase freedom approved 1k recon?

Any CLI recon now is another HP. It's best to just use the card for 6-12months, then take the inquiry hit and ask for a CLI.

CONGRATS on your approval!!!

I would try a recon but beware it may cost you additional HP's.

I used the EO back door listed on here when I got my freedom. Starting cl was 2k. When I call to activated, I told them that I might want to take advantage of 0% apr for bal transfer. They ask how much I am thinking to transfer, I said 1.5k They game me 3.7k using same hp when I app'd.

Did I mention that I have to recon for the 2k approval in the first place.

While the above situation may have proven successful in this case, it is not always 100% successful.  Chase constantly reviews their internal policies, especially since the EO channel is primarily reserved as a last resort to resolve escalated matters.  Not something typical when someone grumbles about a small CL granted during the normal course of approval.  Hence, alternatives do exist for folks who prefer to weigh their reconsideration efforts through the U/W channels.

The use of the same HP is very rare.  Since the option is always fluid to obtain additional credit, Chase (or any lender for that matter) still reserves the right to HP, in some cases an alternate CBR - still considered permissible purpose for additional unsecured credit.

Re: Chase freedom approved 1k recon?

Congrats on your approval!  I would just keep it that way, use it and PIF and maybe you will get an auto CLI in a about 6 months. If not you can always ask for a CLI later with another HP. Enjoy it ...it is one of my favorite cards Smiley Happy
