Chase freedom cycle closing

This month I used my chase freedom for all my purchases (e.g.) dining, groceries, gas, utilities... My card is maxed out now, and my payment is due tomorrow the 2nd, my line is 4k, I  planned on paying this is full tomorrow, but I ran into a problem, my check from work ( I am a contractor) was pretty sizeable and is going to take longer to clear 3-5 business days.  If I pay 1500 tomorrow and the rest on Tuesday (it will clear by then) will it be reported on my credit report as a 0 balance or a 2500 balance (payment scheduled for tomorrow)?

I guess my question is, if I make another subsequent payment BEFORE the cycle closes a few days after my due date will it be reported as 0?

Also I have this fingerhut account(no clue why I even got it) I've had it for a good 4 months, and never bought anything, will they close it> what should I do?

Thanks...

As long as you PIF before the stmnt closes, it will report 0 for Freedom.
