Fire? I'm not buying $2600 worth of chase gift cards.
I bought a thousand dollars worth, but I already put my textbook spendings on the card so it isn't so suspicious.
Anyways thanks for the concern. I will take it easy and spread out all of the gift cards in the 3 month period. If they evoke my gift card buying rights, I'll just put some spending on the card...
Then you are totally fine! I don't think you're playing with fire at all.... Many people, including my parents and I, do wayyyy more than that throughout all of our Chase cards and have not had any issues. And, I guess, will not as they are ending soon.
This really sucks....I just got on board the Chase Gift Card/Bluebird boat!
I can teach you some other ways, just let me know what CC you have! You can PM me if you don't want to make this a long thread!
Messaged. I will be limiting my manufactured spending though.

I do this every month. You are free to buy up to $2,600 with each Chase card that you have. People buying more than that have been shown to get shut down. You also must spend on every day things in order for this to be successful. They are going to be looking at your first couple statements more than others, so make sure you spread the gift cards around..
FYI this will stop after September 22nd. Unfortunately it's coming to an end.
FWIW: In general, on other MS activities, this has never been shown to help prevent AA. The banks, if they choose, look at "bad" behavior and don't weigh it against the "good." In other words, if I buy $10K worth of gift cards on 4 chase cards per month for several months, previous history shows that I am as likely to be shut down whether this is my only spending or if I spend $30K on other proper purchases as well.
Now Chase may be different this time, but I would be surprised!
I think they stop, check this link and it say they dont sell anymore http://www.chase.com/giftcard
