Chase is watching us

I just got approved for the Chase Marriott. Back in November I opened a freedom and Disney visa. They have relatively low credit lines but the Disney visa is for a trip and the freedom is for the bonus categories and UR points. I am officially done with opening up anymore chase cards for this reason alone.

This has been going on since xmas time. account closures. cld's. so i would have said. yes. im rebuilding. so yes. im aggressively seeking to restore my credit. what is wrong with that?. so i need a increase. hmm. after. i would say. if you cant help me. give me someone who can. hopefully .not instand account closure

The rep was unfriendly, but she was right thought. Chase extends you alot of credit in sort amount of time, so you should at least show some usage b4 asking for more credit. You can always move some of the other cards limit to the Amazon. My experience with Chase has been very pleasant, 6 cards with 50k limit in 18 months. They have nver threaten me with AA since ive been good to them lol. Only thing to complain is they like to pull my CR unnecessarily, 16 Inqs from them for 6 cards and 2 cli across 3 bureaus

Sounds like this rep was having a bad day .........still no excuse for that type of behavior.  Chase is strange with some folks.  The whole credit industry I think is evolving and changing constantly......there seems to be new standards with some lenders.   Some lenders will now give you substantial CL even with new credit or numerous inquiries.....even Cap 1 seems to be changing their rules on CLI's and credit lines, I just got a Barclay Ring Card with a 12.5K CL, I don't think I could have gotten it 6 mos ago because of new accts and inquiries, I also got an AMEX Delta Card after being denied repeatedly over the past year.   JMHO

I am not a fan of Chase. I have one credit card with them which I hardly use. I used it for the second time a few weeks ago to purchase desks online. We will be closing our joint checking and my personal savings account with them this year. I will keep my Slate card, but it won't get much use.
