Yeah maybe i should. Just waiting to log onto my chase accts and see little eyeballs staring at me LOL

Maybe you should hold off on apping for any new cards. I have the Discover It card and of my new cards I've had it the longest. Almost a year. They can be stingy when it comes to CLIs too. For that reason, I don't use it very much. Except for my Amex BCE and Chase, all of my limits are over 5K. I'm conservative when asking for CLIs.  Amex BCE would be except I requested my 3X CLI too early, but I'm hoping to get it this month. I won't request a CLI on my Chase because they pull EQU and I have too many inquiries with them. I will be heading into the garden soon. Good luck!!!

As unpleasant as that was, at least it should give some pause to asking for too much in a short period of time from any one lender.  They all watch, but Chase is one of a handful that will close all accounts down with no warning or recourse.

I agree! Thanks for being the voice of reason.

I seriously doubt the low level rep or even analysts have the power to flag your account or close/CLD you. When I called Chase one time for a double inquiry they did on accident the analyst got SUPER RUDE with me and I requested her supervisor and then that man got EVEN ruder so I filed a complaint on both of them to the Office of the President/CEO. Chase has some good benefits and nice cards but there analysts are RUDE as you know what.

Thanks for the heads up! Another reason for me not to app for another card with Chase. I prequalify for the Freedom and Sapphire.

I just got approved for the Chase Marriott. Back in November I opened a freedom and Disney visa. They have relatively low credit lines but the Disney visa is for a trip and the freedom is for the bonus categories and UR points. I am officially done with opening up anymore chase cards for this reason alone.

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S on your recent approvals!!!

I called to have a small CLI on my chase amazon CC and got the pending notice. I called the backdoor to speak with a credit specialist and she got nasty about it. Started asking why i have applied for my other 3 chase cards and then said I was aggresively credit seeking. I was like "Whoah there". So i expect to see either CLD or closiures in my future. But its all good if they do. Seems Chase is over-sensitive to these issues soa word of advise be careful with Chase.

This has been going on since xmas time. account closures. cld's. so i would have said. yes. im rebuilding. so yes. im aggressively seeking to restore my credit. what is wrong with that?. so i need a increase. hmm. after. i would say. if you cant help me. give me someone who can. hopefully .not instand account closureSmiley Embarassed

All creditors SP -- not just Chase.  It's not just your credit when you applied that matters.

The rep was unfriendly, but she was right thought. Chase extends you alot of credit in sort amount of time, so you should at least show some usage b4 asking for more credit. You can always move some of the other cards limit to the Amazon. My experience with Chase has been very pleasant, 6 cards with 50k limit in 18 months. They have nver threaten me with AA since ive been good to them lol. Only thing to complain is they like to pull my CR unnecessarily, 16 Inqs from them for 6 cards and 2 cli across 3 bureaus

That is the other reason why I won't app for any more of their cards.

Re: Chase is watching us

They told me no the first time I asked for a CLI ($2,000 approval on SW) and since then have turned around to give me more than $25K in credit lines. Most of it instantly approved. I have no bone to pick with them and hopefully the feeling is mutual. I don't meet spend in creative ways, I pay my bills before they are due but after statement cut. And most importantly, I maintain a healthy banking (other than credit) relationship with them.
