Under the Chase see your card offers it shows I have been preapproved for CSP, Freedom and Slate. I would prefer one of their hotel reward cards. Does anyone know if they are more strict on their own cards, or the co-branded cards..
Lastly, how accurate is that preapproval page?
The CSP I believe is their hardest card to get approved for as it carries a minimum 5k CL, I would assume if you're preapproved for it that you could get any of them.

I'd say, that even if you don't have a preapproval on Chase website, you can still get a card. I asked a very similar question not a long ago, as I had no preapproval for CSP and was wondering if I can qualify. Went fine, instant approval.
Thank you both!!
I had nothing on the Chase page and applied and was approved for the CSP last week
Have never gotten a Chase preapproval offer. Just got approved instantly for the United card with a $9,000 limit (I bank with Chase and have a $300 student card that I haven't used in months). Really, I never get preapprovals for anything except BofA and a bunch of really subprime cards, but I have never been declined for a card when I applied. Most approvals have been instant or almost-instant (5 minute online chat for Citi, pending then app status approved for the Delta). Discover, PRG and Unted were straight instant approval).
Not sure how it works.

Quite true. My DH didn't have a preapproval on Chase's website (yes, we checked first), but he apped anyway for the Freedom and was approved.
