Chase recon ?

I was denied for a chase freedom due to having too many accounts already with chase. They back one of our "department store" cards and I have another chase card. Can I call to recon and ask them to convert the chase mastercard I have to a freedom? I'd rather have a freedom.

How long have you had the Chase Mastercard for? Why do you want the Freedom? Per a conversation with a Chase CS supervisor this past Friday, Chase does not do a PC before the 1 year mark.

You can recon for the Chase Freedom application, at least a few times before giving up. If that does not work, you can call them to see if you can do a PC. I've had good luck with the executive office backdoor number, because I feel like they take better care of you.

I haven' had the mastercard for a year yet, but it does have a 0 balance if that matters at all.

Thank you. I appreciate it. I just realized the chase MC is not even 6 mo old yet. I doubt they will change it over. bummer, but I will keep it in mind when I hit the year mark!

I will give them a try on monday. Although I'm not even sure they pulled my credit.... I never did get an inquiry alert. I monitor all three reports too. Weird... I'll have to check them again.
