So these pass two days I tried to used the chase secure message to ask if I can upgrade my freedom to a visa signature, so far no response from them and it has been two days.. Is it me or is it the holiday coming up? Usually I get prompt responses .

They are currently experiencing a high volume of messages... Message them again and remind them to reply your request. Or just call and request this conversion on the phone (to make things faster)
I am sure with the Target mess they have message delays
Makes sense. They (and everyone else) already have messages up on their home page for affected customers.
I got a response within hours of my message stating it was forwarded to the appropriate department, and it will be answered within seven days,
