Hi everyone,
So I was recently approved for Chase United Explorer card and thought I would try my luck at getting the old promotion I sent them an email asking if I could be eligible for the promotion of 50,000miles instead of the current 30,000miles after spending $1,000 in 3 months. This was their response:
"Dear XYZ,
Thank you for contacting Chase regarding your United
MileagePlus® credit card account.
The following enrollment incentives were offered on the
application that you completed:
30,000 enrollment miles after you meet a minimum spend
of $1,000.00 in first 103 days of account open date.
5,000 miles for adding an authorized user within 103
days of the account open date and one purchase/
First year annual fee waiver
The enrollment incentive referenced in your letter is for
50,000 miles, 5,000 authorized user miles and the first
year annual fee waiver. Once you are approved and receive
the initial 30,000 bonus miles from your original offer
you can contact us and we will enhance your enrollment
incentive by adding an additional Variable miles.
Thank you for being our customer. We appreciate your
business.
If you have any further questions, please reply using the
Secure Message Center. "
What does additional variable miles mean?
should be 1 mile for every $1 you spend, in addition to the bonus (or maybe more than 1, I am not sure)
